Dr. Hight is joining the Union Grove administration team after serving 4 years as an assistant principal and athletic director at Chapel Hill High School in Douglas County. A native of Rome, Georgia, Dr. Hight received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of West Georgia. He worked at Delta Airlines before pursuing his career in education. Dr. Hight began his teaching career in Paulding County Schools (Hiram high school) after receiving his History Degree from Kennesaw State. Dr. Hight taught Advance U.S History at Hiram for over 12 years while coaching Football, Basketball, Soccer, and Tennis. He went on to teach for two years in the Atlanta Public school system prior to moving into educational leadership in 2018. Dr. Hight received both his Master’s Degree and Ph.D. from Georgia State University in 2005 and 2020, respectively. “I am honored to join the Union Grove community and serve our students, parents, and teachers.”
