Ms. Copeland joined the administrative team in September 2020. Prior to this, she served as the Student Support Facilitator at Union Grove High School since 2018. Ms. Copeland began her employment with Henry County School District in 2001 as a full-time permanent substitute then secretary at another Henry County high school.  She began teaching in 2007 as a special education interrelated teacher with English certification. Ms. Copeland's teaching experience has always been at the high school level where she taught in several different content areas and grade levels. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, however, she has traveled all over the world as a military wife of twenty years. Ms. Copeland obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s in Arts in Teaching in Special Education from Georgia College and State University, and a Specialist Degree in Brain-Based Teaching from Nova Southeastern University.  Ms. Copeland has two wonderful and successful adult children who both graduated from Henry County School District in 2004 and 2006. She also has one grandchild.
