Principal Dr. LaTonya Richards

Dr. LaTonya Richards is the proud Principal of Union Grove High School. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of South Carolina and later completed her Specialist and Doctorate degrees in Education at Liberty University. Throughout her career, Dr. Richards has been passionate about creating opportunities for students, supporting teachers, and fostering a positive school culture where all learners can thrive.
Dr. Richards brings extensive experience in education and school leadership, having served in a variety of roles that have strengthened her expertise in instructional leadership, school improvement, student support, and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on building strong relationships, supporting high-quality teaching and learning, and ensuring that students are prepared for success in college, careers, and life.
Under her leadership, Union Grove High School continues to uphold its tradition of excellence while preparing students to become confident, compassionate, and responsible leaders in an ever-changing world. Dr. Richards is honored to serve the Union Grove community and remains committed to empowering students to achieve their goals and make a positive impact on their future and the world around them.
Dr. LaTonya Richards is married and the proud parent of two children. When she is not at school, she enjoys traveling, reading, crafting, and spending quality time with her family.
